Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Stellar Tint collects when you use stellartinting.com, buy a kit from us directly, or order one of our products through a marketplace such as Amazon or eBay. It also explains your choices. It is written in plain English and is not legal advice.

Information we collect

• Identifiers and contact information — name, email address, phone number, shipping and billing address.
• Order, payment and transaction data — items ordered, order totals, discounts, shipping method, tracking, refunds and returns. Card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• Vehicle and customization information — year, make, model, trim/body style, coverage selections, film material and shade, and any notes you give us so we can cut the correct pattern.
• Device, browser and usage data — IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring pages, and cookie or similar identifiers.
• Communications and support — emails, text messages, calls, form submissions and the contents of those exchanges.
• Marketing preferences and consent records — whether you opted in to email or SMS, when and how you opted in, and any opt-out requests.

Where the information comes from

• Directly from you, when you configure a kit, check out, or contact us.
• Automatically from your browser or device when you use the site.
• From service providers and platforms that support us, including Shopify, and from Amazon, eBay or another marketplace when you buy through that marketplace.

How we use it

• To take, cut, produce, fulfill and ship your order, and to handle returns and remakes.
• To provide customer service and respond to your questions.
• To detect, investigate and prevent fraud, abuse and security incidents.
• To operate, maintain and improve the website and our products.
• To measure site and campaign performance through analytics.
• To deliver and measure advertising, where permitted.
• To meet legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations and to establish or defend legal claims.
• To send transactional messages, and marketing messages where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by law.

Service providers and platforms

We share information with companies that perform services for us, and only as needed for them to perform those services:

• Shopify — storefront, checkout and payment processing on our site.
• Fulfillment, cutting and shipping partners and carriers — to produce and deliver your kit.
• Hosting and technology providers — to run the website and our internal tools.
• Analytics and advertising providers — including the Meta Pixel and similar measurement tools.
• CRM, email and SMS providers — such as HighLevel/GoHighLevel, to send order updates and, where you have opted in, marketing messages.
• Amazon, eBay or other marketplaces — when you purchase through them. Those purchases are also governed by the marketplace's own privacy policy and terms, which we do not control.

We may also disclose information when required by law or legal process, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

Advertising, "sale" and "sharing"

Stellar Tint does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, some of the analytics and advertising disclosures described above — for example cookie-based identifiers shared with advertising platforms — may be treated as a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under certain U.S. state privacy laws.

Where those laws apply to you, you may opt out of that activity by emailing hello@stellartinting.com or by disabling advertising cookies in your browser. Where legally required and technically supported, we honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) sent by your browser for the browser and device from which the signal is sent.

Your privacy choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request a copy of it, request correction of inaccurate information, request deletion, or opt out of targeted advertising or certain disclosures. Rights vary by jurisdiction, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

Cookies and analytics choices

We and our providers use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can use ad-platform controls or your device's advertising settings to limit ad personalization. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.

Mobile Messaging Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

Providing your phone number or agreeing to receive text messages is never a condition of purchase. We keep records of SMS opt-ins and opt-outs for compliance purposes. See the mobile messaging section of our Terms of Service for message frequency, rates, and STOP/HELP instructions.

Email communications

Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can also email us to update your preferences. Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily stop transactional or service messages — order confirmations, production and shipping updates, and support replies — which we may still send as necessary to complete or service your transaction, subject to applicable law.

Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including fulfilling and supporting your order, meeting legal, tax, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations, resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements. How long we keep a given record depends on the type of data and why we hold it.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, transmission or storage system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our site and products are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy as our business, tools or the law change. We will revise the "last updated" date above, and material changes will be reflected on this page.
