Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of stellartinting.com and to orders you place with Stellar Tint. They are written in plain English and are not legal advice.

Acceptance and eligibility

By using the site or placing an order you agree to these terms. You must be able to form a binding contract where you live, and if you are under the age of majority you may use the site only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Use the site only for lawful purposes.

Orders and order acceptance

Placing an order is an offer to buy. An order is accepted when we confirm it and begin processing. We may decline or cancel an order, with a refund of amounts paid, if an item is unavailable, a price or description was listed in error, we suspect fraud or unauthorized use, or we cannot produce a pattern for the vehicle and coverage you selected.

Pricing, taxes and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and are the prices in effect at checkout. Taxes and shipping are calculated at checkout based on your address and selections. Direct-site checkout and payment processing are handled by Shopify; marketplace orders are processed by that marketplace. We do not store full payment card details.

Custom-cut products

Kits are cut to the year, make, model, trim/body style, coverage, material and shade you select. You are responsible for making those selections accurately. Once a custom kit enters production it is made for your vehicle only and generally cannot be restocked or resold.

Cancellations, returns and remakes

Cancellation windows, remake eligibility and refunds are described in our Returns & Remakes policy, which is part of these terms.

DIY installation

Our kits are sold for self-installation. Instructions, videos and support are guidance only, and results depend on preparation, environment, glass condition and technique. We are not responsible for film damaged by the installation process itself. This does not limit our responsibility for a product defect or for a kit that was cut or shipped incorrectly by us.

Tint laws and VLT

Legal visible light transmission (VLT) limits vary by state, by window position and sometimes by vehicle type, and factory glass tint combines with film to change the final measured VLT. You are responsible for choosing a shade that is legal where your vehicle is registered and driven. We cannot promise that any product will pass an inspection or satisfy any particular law or officer.

Product descriptions and availability

We make reasonable efforts to describe products, specifications and pricing accurately, but errors can occur and we may correct them. Photos, renderings and on-screen colors can differ from the product you receive because of lighting, monitors and glass. Availability can change without notice.

Intellectual property and acceptable use

The site and its content — text, images, patterns, graphics, logos and software — belong to Stellar Tint or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, scrape, resell or create derivative works from the site or our patterns without permission, and you may not interfere with the site, attempt unauthorized access, or use it to transmit unlawful or harmful content.

Third-party services and links

The site relies on third-party services and may link to third-party sites. Their terms and privacy practices govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for their content or services.

Marketplace orders

Orders placed through Amazon, eBay or another marketplace are also subject to that marketplace's terms, policies and buyer protections. Where marketplace rules give you additional rights or remedies, those rules control to that extent. Nothing here overrides marketplace buyer protections.

Warranties and disclaimer

We stand behind our products as described in these terms and in our Returns & Remakes policy. To the extent permitted by law, and except for what we expressly promise, products and the site are provided as-is and we do not make other warranties. Nothing in these terms limits warranties or rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Stellar Tint is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, and our total liability for a claim relating to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, and we do not attempt to waive consumer rights that cannot be waived.

Mobile and SMS terms

Text messages from this program are sent by Stellar Tint. We offer two separate types of messages, and you opt in to each separately:

• Marketing SMS (optional) — offers, discounts, and product or service updates.
• Non-marketing SMS (optional) — order, production, fulfillment, delivery and customer support or service updates.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Reply STOP to any message to opt out and HELP for help; after you reply STOP we may send one confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. Email communications

We may send transactional emails as necessary to process, fulfill and support your order. We may send marketing emails consistent with applicable law and your consent, and every marketing email includes a clear unsubscribe method. Unsubscribing from marketing does not necessarily stop essential transactional or service messages.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, unless applicable consumer protection law in your place of residence requires otherwise.

Severability, changes and entire agreement

If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. We may update these terms; the "last updated" date above will change, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Returns & Remakes policy, are the entire agreement between us regarding the site and your order, except where marketplace terms also apply.
